NEGAUNEE - A 2nd annual bake and craft sale was held last month by the Resident Council at Eastwood Nursing Center and this year they donated proceeds to local causes.

Today they gave $100 worth of toys each to Toys for Tots and the Mining Journal Cheer Club. They also gave a $100 check to UPAWS and bought $100 worth of canned goods for local food pantries.

Resident Council President Shirley Juchemich said, "We got everyone together and planned it. People donated and we donated what we could here and it turned out wonderful two years in a row."

In total, the craft and bake sale raised around $700. Juchemich says they're already planning to do it all again next year.
