MARQUETTE -- Superior Health Foundation held its 5th annual gala on Saturday, and it was definitely a one of a kind celebration.
Two awards were presented at the ceremony...
10,000 dollars went to Lakestate Industries towards programming for at-risk clients to support the development of job-like skills, and 10,000 dollars also to the Marquette Alger Great Start Collaborative to help support children and their families who are less fortunate.
Jim LaJoie, the Executive Director of Superior Health Foundation, said, "This is a night of fellowship, it's a night of sharing, it's a night of being together with positive people with like-minded, who are all about philanthropy. And we're just thrilled with the crowd that we had, and the number of supporters that we have. I think everyone walked out of here tonight with a smile on their face."
Around 300 people attended the event, raising nearly $70,000.
