Ishpeming, MI - Current and former basketball stars here in the Upper Peninsula will come together next weekend to raise money for the Girls Ishpeming Basketball Team.
The players will take the court in what is being called the 'Last Chance' basketball tournament. Tickets are 3$ at the door to go and watch.
The money raised will be going to help pay for off season training and cover sports camp costs and there's a good chance you know some of the names participating.
Ryan Reichel, thhe head girls basketball coach and tournament organizer said, "We got players coming from all over the U.P. Especially some household names. Carson wonders. Whitens, Bilski, Trent Bell and Dre Tuominen are all playing and some of the former good players of this area are all going to be suiting up and are getting the opportunity to bust some rust out and get a last chance to play a basketball tournament."
Tip off for the first game of the tournament will be next Friday at 6 pm. With the championship game being held Saturday at 5 pm. Games will take place at the Ishpeming high school.
