ABOUT ME:

Tom’s TV journey has taken him from the Great Lakes to the Great Plains to the Appalachian Mountains and now back to the Great Lakes.

Tom is a Michigan native from the Lower Peninsula and is happy to be back in his home state. Spending time at the family camp in Curtis, MI in the Eastern U.P. growing up is where he knew the U.P. was also home.  Tom currently lives in Marquette.

Tom started at WJMN Local 3 in March of 2014 and is proud to be apart of the station’s first local newscast on April 21st 2014.  In March of 2017, Tom received the Michigan Association Of Broadcasters Best Weathercast Award and in March of 2018 he received the Michigan Association Of Broadcasters Merit Award for his weather show.

When Tom is not forecasting the ever changing Upper Michigan weather, you might catch a glimpse of him on TV at a Michigan State Football game and a Green Bay Packers football game. In April 2019, he followed the Michigan State Spartans to Minneapolis, MN and watched their Final 4 game at U.S. Bank Stadium.  Tom likes to hop in the car and go explore the U.P. and places outside the U.P.  Feel free to wave hi when you see him jogging around Marquette or at an NMU Hockey game.
