GREEN BAY (WFRV) — June 25 is a day that many kids in the area look forward to every year. It’s the 13th annual Kids’ Day in Green Bay.
Mayor Jim Schmitt created the day because he celebrated Kids’ Day with his family and thought there should be a special day dedicated to children.
There are 20 free events throughout the city. Kids can ride rides at Bay Beach Amusement Park, visit Bay Beach’s wildlife sanctuary, swim at the Resch Aquatic Center, and fish on City Deck.
Mayor Schmitt is also hosting a free lunch at Leicht Park. The first 2,000 kids will be given free meals; lunches for adults are $2.
