His family has U.P. roots: he spent most summers of his childhood in Curtis where he became a lifelong fan of the Green Bay Packers.
He began his broadcast career working at a radio station while still in high school. Tom is a graduate of the Mississippi State Broadcast Meteorology Program and Specs Howard School of Media Arts.
For more than 10 years, he has worked in broadcasting, including television news and weather. He is a trained weather spotter with the National Weather Service.
When Tom is not working he likes cheering on his favorite sports teams, traveling and storm chasing.
