48-year-old Gregory S. Ihander was arraigned today in Menominee County District Court in the death of Jolene Eichhorn. Ihander is charged with homicide-open murder and is jailed on a one million dollar cash bond. If convicted, he faces life in prison.
Michigan State Police at the Gladstone post say this is a case of domestic violence.
First Lieutenant Gregory Cunningham is the MSP Gladstone Post Commander, and said, “We appreciate the working relationships with the local departments. This was a team effort last night by a lot of troopers, detectives, crime scene personnel, deputies from the sheriff’s department all working together to find out what happened in this case.”
Eichhorn had been missing since Tuesday. A Michigan State Police trooper found her vehicle Wednesday morning at the Cedar River State Harbor Park in Cedarville Township of Menominee County.
An autopsy was scheduled today at U.P. Health System – Marquette.
Ihander will be back in court in two weeks for a probable cause hearing.
