Another way the U.P. is keeping it local having businesses return to their roots.
When its first location opened up in Escanaba fourteen years ago, Team Wireless was a prime example of a local business. And in the years since, the company has grown in size – with more than thirty locations across the Midwest, But company leaders haven’t forgotten the importance of the community they came from.
Brian Boucher, the CEO and owner of team wireless touched on this.
“The one thing with being locally owned and operated, we can contribute to the community, to sports, to different 4-H organizations, anything like that, you know. We have a certain amount that we contribute in each community, back to the people that help us. We invested quite a bit into this, with it being our hometown and growing up here, you know, we wanted this to kind of be our grand store.”
The state of the art store will have a grand opening event starting Thursday and running through the weekend.
