There’s good news for everyone who has had to deal with the long detours brought on by the closure of the West Gladstone Bridge.
The Radio Results Network reports that as of tonight, that bridge on County Road 420 is re-opening.
The bridge had been closed since June.
The project to completely rebuild that bridge cost more than one million dollars. The Road Commission says it was an important job because the US-2 bridge over the Escanaba River will be closing in 20-17 and they needed to upgrade the West Gladstone Bridge so that it could handle the heavy trucks that will be crossing it while US-2 is being worked on.
