ESCANABA — Escanaba’s OSF Saint Francis Hospital is hosting a talk tomorrow night that tries to tackle a difficult topic: suicide.
A “Conversation About Suicide” will be held on the Bay College campus, bringing together experts to talk about the warning signs of suicide.
Hospital spokeswoman Lindsay Stearns tells the Radio Results Network that they will talk about what can be done to help people who are having those feelings.
“We do a survey every three years in Delta County, to find out the areas of greatest needs, and substance abuse and mental health are two of those areas of need,” Stearns told RRN News. “So we’re trying to partner with different organizations in the community, and kind of tackle these issues, one step at a time.”
The Delta County Suicide Task Force will talk about what services are available in the community. The event also qualifies for 2.4 Nursing C-E-U’s.
It runs from 6 until 8 Tuesday night at the Besse Center Theater on the Bay College campus. The event is open to everybody.
