Appleton Neighborhood shaken after shooting incident

Appleton, Wis.(WFRV)- An Appleton neighborhood is on edge tonight after a shooting incident at an apartment complex.

 

According to police, multiple shots were fired in the neighborhood of the 3100 block of Lawe Street Saturday afternoon. No one has been taken into custody but police are on the lookout for several male african-americans and two silver cars seen leaving the area following the shots.

 

According to neighborhood witnesses, the shooting happened just feet from area children who were playing. No injuries were reported. Police did find several bullet shell casings lodged in the building and scattered on the apartment property.

 

Police have been unable to contact the residents of the apartment unit that was struck by a bullet. If you have any information, you are asked to contact Appleton Police.
