Cognition Brewing Company, located inside the historic Mather Inn in downtown Ishpeming, celebrated a soft opening on Wednesday, March 11th. The Lake Superior Community Partnership partnered with the Greater Ishpeming-Negaunee Area Chamber of Commerce to coordinate a ribbon cutting ceremony during the event.

For brewery owner, Jay Clancey, and many of his dedicated staff members, family, and friends, the ribbon cutting ceremony signifies the time and effort that have been put into restoring the brewery, formerly known as The Taproom, which had remained empty for nearly thirty years.

Cognition Brewing Company features numerous, flavorful beers, as well as seasonal beers, carefully brewed to perfection in-house. For now, beer is the only beverage on tap; however, there are plans to feature wine in the future.

Cognition Brewing Company has been in the making for quite some time, and to the delight of many, opened its doors to the public this past weekend on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 2:00 P.M.

The brewery is located at 113 East Canda Street, Ishpeming, Michigan 49849. To get in touch with them, call (906) 204-2724, or e-mail amanda@cognitionbrewing.com.
