Feeding America distribution held today in Escanaba

ESCANABA – Feeding America West Michigan held a food distribution today at the Escanaba Salvation Army.

The distribution began at 1:00 PM and the food truck had been emptied in a couple of hours.

In 2016, Feeding America West Michigan distributed a total of 11.9 million pounds of food through the Mobile Pantry program, an 11% increase from 2015. That total represents the distribution for the entire 40-county service area, which spans the Upper Peninsula and the western third of the Lower Peninsula.

Another distribution is scheduled for Manistique on July 26, beginning at 10 a.m

mBank is sponsoring the Feeding America Mobile Distribution in Manistique on Wednesday,  July 26.
