MARQUETTE – An annual tradition will soon be happening again in the Upper Peninsula.
The historical Marquette bus tour will be showing visitors sites around the city starting July 12. This year’s tour focuses on the year 1918.
“It’s a wonderful way for people to just sit back, enjoy and really notice parts of their town that they may have not noticed before,” said Betsy Rutz, Museum Educator at the Marquette Regional History Center. “You can easily drive by a beautiful home and not know who lived there and what kind of things they did, what did they eat, what was going on in town when they lived here. It really takes you back to a different time and makes you think outside the box.”
The historic bus tours run through August 15, with proceeds benefiting the history center.
