MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP– In 2014 Nexstar Broadcasting Group invested millions of dollars to build a brand-new state-of-the-art studio in Marquette Township that culminated in the launch of the first Local 3 News broadcast April 21, 2014.

Keeping it Local is the daily duty of the U.P.-based Local 3 team that brings you news updates each weekday morning from 7 to 9 a.m. We also have 6 and 11 p.m. newscasts Monday through Friday as well as a wide-range of special programming ranging from the Local 3 High School Sports Zone (football and basketball editions), unique presentations to mark Veterans Day, Women’s History, Black History, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Earth Day and more.

Plus, we get out of the office on a regular basis to Explore the U.P. Shore with half-hour programs on interesting people and places across the region.

The U.P. is our home and we’re happy to be here and today, we are thrilled to celebrate the 5th anniversary Local 3 News and look forward to many more years of keeping it local in Upper Michigan
