MARQUETTE– Brookridge Heights, an assisted living and memory care facility held a ribbon cutting ceremony today in honor of its latest expansion.
The $4.5 million project will now be able to serve 100 senior citizens throughout the U.P. The addition includes 29 bedrooms, new services for seniors and more jobs will be available to people in the Marquette area.
Neal Crothers, Brookridge Heights Assisted Living and Memory Care Executive Director says, “We employ here at Brookridge Heights about 55 to 60 people and we’re looking to expand 20 to 30, as many as 30 people that we’re going to expand with. So, we definitely need additional assistance as we grow.”
One of the new services the facility will provide is called ‘In The Moment.’ The program is designed specifically for individuals and their needs through physical, spiritual and art activities.
