On Friday, October 13th, 2017 detectives from the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team (UPSET) executed a search warrant at a residence on Pennsylvania Avenue in the Village of Ontonagon.
During the search, over 8 ounces of methamphetamine was seized, along with over $3,000 in cash and a loaded handgun. The drugs seized have an estimated street value of over $30,000.
No arrests have been made at this time. The investigation is continuing and the case is being reviewed by the Ontonagon County Prosecutor’s office.
UPSET West was assisted by the Ontonagon County Sheriff’s Department, the Michigan State Police – Wakefield Post and the Michigan State Police K-9 – Calumet Post.
