MARQUETTE, Mich. – Governor Whitmer and Lieutenant Governor Gilchrist will host the final “Whitmer Winter Warmup” in Marquette on Saturday, February 16th. The event will take place at the UP Children’s Museum. The family-friendly event will offer Upper Michigan residents an opportunity to meet the Governor and Lieutenant Governor as well as enjoy free food, games and other activities. The museum will offer free entry to the public from 11a.m. – 2p.m. In conjunction with the Whitmer Warm-up, the Governor will also hold a book drive. Attendees are encouraged to bring a new or gently used book to the event to be donated to a local charity.
Whitmer Winter Warm-up events have already been held in Detroit, Flint and Grand Rapids.
