MARQUETTE — A local seven year old is fighting cancer for the third time.

After her most recent diagnosis of Rhabdomyosarcoma, a Facebook group was started called ‘Ainsley’s Army’.

The group posts updates on her treatment and helps plan community events in order to raise money for the family. Tomorrow, a car wash is being held in with all proceeds going to the family.

Brianna Maki the organizer of the ‘Fighting for Ainsley’ car wash, says, “We’re hoping to just wash as many cars as possible, get as many people from the community in here. We’re collecting donations for her and everything will go directly to her and the family.”

The car wash will be going on from 10 am until 2 pm tomorrow, Saturday, June 9th at Frei Chevrolet in Marquette.

If you aren’t able to donate money, you can donate your time. Volunteers are welcome to stop by and help wash cars.

Maki continues, “You can donate your time if you don’t have money that you’re able to donate. If you want to just come and wash cars tomorrow, we are still looking for volunteers to come and help us out with that.”
