MARQUETTE COUNTY — The Harley Owners Group is holding the 32nd annual Ride In Bike Show tomorrow at the American Legion in Little Lake.
The event raises money for Bay Cliff Health Camp, a seven week summer therapy camp session that helps children with orthopedic, speech, hearing, and vision disabilities. The bike show will include live entertainment, food and drinks, and they’ll be raffling off all sorts of things including a quilt and – of course – a Harley.
Jim Nowak, Director of H.O.G. Superior Chapter in Marquette, shared, “In those 32 years we have raised over 1.3 million dollars. It helps a lot of kids go to the camp. Folks who have been up to the camp, or have friends or relatives who have attended the camp, they see the good work that happens up at the camp. We go visit the camp in June, have dinner with the campers, they get to check out our bikes, blow the horns…You get to see how these kids interact and overcome some of the obstacles that they have.”
The show is open to the public. Tickets are $5 for adults. Gates open at 11 a.m. and it runs until 6 p.m.
The check from the proceeds will be presented to Bay Cliff in August.
