IRON MOUNTAIN – A new, yet not-so-new shopping option held their grand opening today in Iron Mountain.

It’s called Consignment Mamas. People bring gently used clothing and accessories to the store, which cleans, displays and sells them for a fee. In addition to adding a new place to shop, the store gives people the chance to make money of their used items, which keeps money in the community says Co-Owner Cassy Hendricks.

Hendricks explained how it works to Local 3 News.

“It is a 60-day consignment and they make 50% of the sales, where we price everything accordingly,” shed said. “We found that there was a need for a consignment shop in town. We don’t have many options for shopping locally.”

Consignment Mamas carries men’s and women’s clothing for all ages–newborn up to 5X–as well as accessories.
