A plea deal has been reached in the Criminal Sexual Conduct trial of Joel Anderson, the Little Lake man charged with crimes against two children under the age of 13. The confession and plea bargain came about 90 minutes into the second day of the trial in Marquette County Circuit Court.
Anderson pled guilty to one count of criminal sexual conduct with intent to commit sexual penetration.
Opening arguments got underway Tuesday afternoon in the case being heard by Marquette County Circuit Court Judge Jennifer A. Mazzuchi.
Anderson was arrested in Wisconsin in November of 2014, on a warrant from the Forsyth Township Police Department. He waived extradition and was transported back to Marquette County.
Anderson originally entered a plea of ‘not guilty’ to two first degree and two second degree charges.
Anderson will be sentenced in Marquette County Circuit Court on April 8. He will received between four and ten years in prison.
