Rep. LaFave reads to kids for March is Reading Month

Rep. Beau LaFave, of Iron Mountain, visited several schools today in Delta County to read to students for March is Reading Month.

“Reading to a child helps build their future and gives them one-on-one attention that nothing else can match,” Rep. LaFave said. “This month, I plan to visit classrooms across my district to inspire a love of reading in our students. After all, readers who start early become readers for life.”

Rep. LaFave will be visiting six schools in Delta County today to read to classrooms. Media are welcome to join Rep. LaFave at any of the schools. To coordinate, interested parties may reach out to Danielle at 906-282-4747 or by emailing DBranz@house.mi.gov. His schedule is as follows:

The schools he visited include: Rapid River Elementary; Gladstone JT Jones Elementary; Soo Hill Elementary; Holy Name Catholic School; Bark River Elementary and Escanaba Upper Elementary.
