OUTAGAMIE CO. (WFRV) – An Appleton teen was sentenced to 21 years in prison today for shooting a convenience store clerk in Grand Chute last year.17-year-old Lakota Norton was found guilty of attempted first degree intentional homicide during an attempted armed robbery at Kwik Trip on Northland Avenue in August of 2009.Norton entered the store and demanded money, according to police. When the clerk hesitated, Norton shot him in the chest and fled. The clerk has since recovered from his injuries. Prosecutors recommended an 18 to 24 year prison sentence.
