MARQUETTE — The results are in. Travel Marquette recently did a survey to see who their visitors are.

The survey found that tourists love to explore all parts of Marquette. They love the unique restaurants the town has to offer, craft breweries, the different trails, as well as views from the lake.

Susan Estler, Executive Director of Travel Marquette says, “I think we were pleasantly surprised to find out that the approval rating for visitors coming to Marquette was 4.8 out of 5 which is great it’s terrific.”

The survey also found that locals know the importance of having tourists.

“Residents do realize the importance of tourism and visitors and the economic viability of the community year-round,” continues Susan Estler.

And even though tourists visit year-round, the summer months are heavily visited.

“The residents, as well as visitors, love the area, they appreciate the environment and the sustainability of the area, the outdoor activities,” Susan Estler says.
