DELTA COUNTY– A hearing was held Monday in Delta County Probate Court to determine the clarity of the recall petitions filed against four Delta County public officials.  Two of the petitions were approved, the other two were denied.

The petitions filed in January name Garden Township Supervisor Morgan Tatrow, Fairbanks Township Supervisor Ronald Collins, Fairbanks Township Clerk Kathryn Denholm and Fairbanks Township Trustee James Dalgord.

Petitions for Collins and Dalgord were denied but the petitions for Tatrow and Denholm can move forward. (Details about each of the four recall petitions are below.)

“They could request another recall clarity hearing for new language that they submit and we could get that approved,” said Nancy Kolich, Delta County Clerk told Local 3 News Monday. “It has to be between 10 and 20 days from when they submit it and then they would have a smaller time frame, but they still could do November.”

The Denholm petition needs at least 39 signatures and the Tatrow petition needs 101. Both petitions would need to collect signatures more than or equal to 25% of the number of people who voted for Governor in 2014.
