UPPER PENINSULA– There are dozens of road projects planned across the U.P. this year and the Michigan Department of Transportation wants motorists to know where these work zones are, so they issued a work zone map.
From the replacement of the bridge over the Jackson Creek on M-28 in Gogebic County to a seven mile resurfacing project along old U.S. 41 in Houghton County knowing the latest information on each road repair location can make your travel easier.
“It doesn’t show every project in the state. That would be unworkable, but it is a really good snapshot of some of the higher impact projects around the state and around the Upper Peninsula. The ones that may cause some delays for motorists in the upcoming construction season.”
