Man found with meth gets arrested

On Monday, April 29, after a six-month long investigation, detectives from the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team arrested a 34-year-old man from Painesdale for delivery of meth.

The suspect was arrested during a traffic stop near Twin Lakes. During the traffic stop approximately 8 grams of meth was seized.

The suspect was lodged at the Houghton County Jail for delivery of meth and possession with intent to distribute meth. The investigation is ongoing with additional charges and arrests are pending.

The suspect’s name will not be released until he is arraigned in the 97th District Court.

UPSET was assisted by the Houghton County Sheriff’s Department and Houghton City Police.
