MARQUETTE COUNTY, Mich (WJMN) – Marquette County Sheriff Greg Zyburt announced on Facebook on Wednesday that he has filled the paperwork and seeking re-election again.
Sheriff Zyburt has been in this role for the past four years. The following is a post from his Facebook page:
“I’ve got a lot of great response and I’m looking forward to hopefully another four years of being your sheriff with the support of people in Marquette County,” said Sheriff Zyburt, “Fortunately I’m retired from Chocolay and so I’m all set and when it gets to the point where I don’t enjoy it or maybe I don’t have my health I can say goodbye but at this point, I love the job.”
Zyburt says there is no term limit for sheriff. This will be on the general election ballot in November.
