MARQUETTE – Time travel to the past is possible, just ask the The Marquette Regional History Center.

The first historical bus tour of the summer around the City of Marquette was held today. Tour go’ers were able to learn about the city both past and present while traveling through historical locations. Characters ranging from past residents to celebrities told stories of their time spent in Marquette.

Betsy Rutz, the Museum Educator at the Marquette Regional History Center, says the tour always gets positive reviews.

“Everyone loves to learn something new about the town that they’ve been in for a long time,” she said. “They’re just excited to learn new facts and funny, quirky, interesting tidbits about their town and so we like to provide some entertainment, but it’s all true. It’s all researched here at the history center.”

There will be several more tours offered through July and August. For ticket information, contact the Marquette Regional History Center.
