ESCANABA — A letter was sent home to parents and guardians of students at Escanaba High and Junior High Schools.

It says a student allegedly made a verbal threat against the school during a conversation this morning.

Law enforcement is investigating.

The district is immediately taking steps to make the building even more secure.

All doors will be locked during the school day.

People will be at the front and rear entrances to meet visitors and get them signed in for a pass.
