Police have released the name of the man who died in Wednesday night’s fatal accident.
29-year-old John Miron was killed in the accident on E.5 Rd.
The Delta County Sheriff’s Department was dispatched just after 7 p.m. to the accident just north of M-69. Miron was traveling south on E.5 Rd. The other vehicle, with seven people, was traveling west on the Felch Grade Trail when it failed to stop at the intersection and struck the other car.
Eight of the other occupants were transported to OSF by Rampart Ambulance and one person was transported from the scene to MGH by Valley Med Flight.
The passenger in Miron’s car and two others are still in the hospital.
The accident remains under investigation.
Deputies were assisted by the Michigan State Police and the MSP Crash Reconstruction Unit, Escanaba Public Safety, Bark River Township. Fire/EMS, Rampart EMS, Valley Med Flight and Gene’s Towing.
