The Peninsula Arts Appreciation Council is holding auditions for their upcoming production of “The Rocky Horror Show”!
Auditions started today, Monday August 31 and resume tomorrow, Tuesday September 1 starting at 6:00 pm. Callbacks will be held on Friday September 4 6-9 pm
Lee LaForge, co-director of the production said they aren’t looking for anything specific in auditions, only to be “dazzled”.
The PAAC has produced a version of “The Rocky Horror Show” 14 of the last 15 years, but the council will be taking an indefinite hiatus from the show after this year.
LaForge hinted at potential changes in the show to honor the “final” production, saying, “It’s gonna be a different production than normal. We are actually taking it back to the original script, so there will be some changes in the script that people aren’t used to.”
The costuming and hair are also going to be more retro than usual. LaForge cited a “50’s-style look” the show will have.
Production dates are October 22-24, 29-31 7:30 pm. There will also be the ever popular midnight shows October 24 and 31.
