Pickup truck collides with MSP patrol vehicle

BREITUNG TOWNSHIP— A Michigan State Police patrol vehicle was involved in a two-vehicle traffic crash that occured on Saturday at 7:00 a.m. on Larson Ln.in Breitung Township.

A trooper had just started his shift and was traveling on Larson Ln., when a pickup backed out of a residential driveway. The trooper attempted to avoid the pickup but was unsuccessful. The pickup collided into the passenger side front fender area. 

No serious injuries were reported. The crash was investigated by a supervisor of the Michigan State Police. After reviewing the evidence at the scene and in-car video footage, the driver of the pickup was issued a civil infraction citation for ‘Failure to Yield.’
