Pig roast benefits Alzheimer’s Association

MARQUETTE — Brookridge Heights Assisted Living and Memory Care in Marquette teamed up with the Alzheimer’s Association for a pig roast today.

In addition to a lot of food, there was music and games for kids.

This year there was a western theme. The money raised will help support the upcoming  Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

Neal Crothers with Brookridge Heights Assisted Living and Memory Care says, “There certainly isn’t anybody that I know of that hasn’t been affected by Alzheimer’s itself in some fashion or another. If being a part of this certainly with our memory care community. We just opened up a new wing. We actually have 48 units dedicated to dementia and Alzheimer’s.”

There were also raffle items at the event.

This year’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Marquette is September 23rd.
