MARQUETTE–Room and Board rates at Northern Michigan University will see a minimal increase for the 2019 – 2020 school year.

The Board of Trustees today approved a less than 1 percent increase from last year. The University President said a great deal of consideration went into making that decision.

“Our team was able to put together a plan to only raise room and board by less than one percent is truly astonishing so, we’re very proud of the work that they’ve done,” says Fritz Erickson, President NMU.”We thinks this helps and supports our students and their educational goals.”

And as for the University’s strategic plan, it’s estimated to be about 75 percent complete.
