SENEY– According to the Radio Results Network, a prescribed burn that started yesterday in the Seney National Wildlife Refuge will continue for another couple of days.
The Marshland Wildlife Drive will be closed to the public at times, but there will be bus tours provided at 10 in the morning and 2 in the afternoon every day this week until the drive re-opens.
There may be an extra bus if they get enough staff.
They’re doing the prescribed burn to improve wildlife habitat in the area, and eliminate vegetation that could later cause a wildfire.
