MARINETTE COUNTY, Wis. – A Michigan man who went missing in Marinette County was found dead Sunday night near the Town of Niagara.
The Sheriff’s Office says Niagara firemen found frozen remains matching the 19-year-old’s description deep in the woods.
Earlier Sunday, they found his abandoned car along a snowmobile trail off of Barlow Lake and Brown Spur.
They identified him as Jacob William Gleason, and say he was on his way back home to Houghton, Michigan but hadn’t been heard from for 24 hours.
It is currently not known why he ended up in the location he was found. An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday.
