Three charged with various methamphetamine related counts in Schoolcraft County

MANISTIQUE– Around 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, Manistique Public Safety Officers and the Public Safety K-9 Unit conducted a narcotics investigation at 250 North Maple Street in the City of Manistique.

As a result of the investigation, two Schoolcraft County resident and a Gladstone man were arrested on various charges including; Delivery/Manufacturing of Methamphetamine, Use of Methamphetamine, Assaulting/Resisting/Obstructing a Police Officer and Maintaining a Drug House. Officers also found four children present in the residence and were then taken into protective custody and turned over to the Michigan Department of Child Protective Services.

All three adults were lodged in the Schoolcraft County Jail:

28-year-old Tyler Robert Glasscock of Gulliver, MI was charged with COUNT 1: Controlled Substance – Delivery/Manufacture – Methamphetamine, a Felony: 20 Years and/or $25,000.00. COUNT 2: Controlled Substance Use Methamphentamine, a Misdemeanor: 1 year and/or $2,000.00. Glassrock was arrainged before the 93rd District Court on Friday, March 22 and bond was set at $100,000.00 cash or surety.

25-year-old Jesse James Tahash of Gladstone was charged with COUNT 1: Controlled Substance – Delivery/Manufacture – Methamphetamine, a Felony: 20 Years and/or $25,000.00. COUNT 2: Assaulting/Resisting/Obstructing a Police Officer, a Felony: 2 years and/or $2,000.00. Tahash was arrainged before the 93rd District Court on Friday, March 22 and bond was set at $1000,000.00 cash or surety.  

28-year-old Raquel Rene Vanderville of Manistique was charged with COUNT 1:  Assaulting/Resisting/Obstructing a Police Officer, a Felony: 2 years and/or $2,000.00. COUNT 2: Controlled Substance – Maintaining a Drug House, a High Court Misdemeanor: 2 years and/or $25,000.00. Vanderville  was arrainged before the 93rd District Court on Friday, March 22 and bond was set at $15,000.00 cash or surety, 10% allowed.

The Preliminary Hearing for all three of the arrested people is set for Wednesday, April 10 at 10:30 a.m. at the 93rd District Court of Schoolcraft County.

The investigation is continuing.
