Two arrests made in traffic stop after police find stolen firearm and taser device

MARQUETTE — Officers from the Marquette Police Department conducted a traffic stop on Presque Isle Ave. early yesterday morning, that resulted in two arrests on weapon violations.

During the stop and search of the vehicle, which took place around 12:45 a.m., a stolen pistol and taser device were located.

The juvenile driver was taken into custody for possession of the stolen firearm and for carrying a concealed weapon. 

18-year-old Collin Kelly Havican of Marquette was arrested for being in possession of a taser device.

Havican was lodged at the Marquette County Jail on the charge. The juvenile was placed at a Juvenile detention site pending charges.
