MARQUETTE– The 42nd Annual Spring Salad Spree at Hope First United Methodist Church in Marquette was this afternoon.

For $10 people could enjoy an all-you-can eat buffet of donated food. It’s the only money making event that the group holds every year, with money going toward missions and helping out the community like The Salvation Army and Room at the Inn.

Bobbie Clift, Past President, United Methodist Women: “People who never come to anything else come to this and visit with the women and with the men. It’s a good way for people to get accquainted and I think from that sometimes we end up getting people to come that haven’t been before.”

A variety of mission projects are funded in the community and through the church group with the money raised from the Spring Salad Spree.
