IRON MOUNTAIN – The Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center in Iron Mountain, Michigan, will be holding a National POW/MIA Recognition Day ceremony at 11:00 a.m. (CT) Friday, September 21, at Pine Grove Country Club. The public is welcome to attend the ceremony.

The ceremony will pay tribute to America’s former prisoners of war who live in the Upper Peninsula and Northeast Wisconsin and those killed or still missing in action.

The keynote speaker will be Jim Zeigler, Chief, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and currently acting Assistant Medical Center Director of Bay Pines VA Healthcare System in Bay Pines, Florida. The ceremony will include music and readings, Color Guard by American Legion Post 50 and taps. A private luncheon for the former POWs and their families will follow the ceremony.

Pine Grove Country Club is located at 1520 W Hughitt Street in Iron Mountain.
