DELTA, MENOMINEE AND SCHOOLCRAFT COUNTIES– The Community Action Agency is holding their annual Walk for Warmth in Delta, Schoolcraft and Menominee counties on Saturday.
Proceeds from the walk will support people in those counties pay their heating bills. Community Action Agency says this will benefit about 300 families.
“At this point, you know the economy is okay but we serve a lot seniors who are on limited income,” said Julie Moberg, Executive Director, Community Action Agency. “Obviously in our winter our heat bills are the highest.”
All of the money raised stays in the county in which it was received. For more information on the walk, click here.
