MENOMINEE, Mich. (WFRV) – Two people have been arrested and face charges after an incident in Menominee on Thursday.

The Menominee County Sheriff’s Office announced one man is facing charges of felonious assault, domestic violence, possession of methamphetamine, possession of narcotics, and an outstanding warrant.

A woman was also arrested on methamphetamine and narcotics possession charges.

The Menominee County Sheriff’s Office shared details on Thursday that one man is in custody and the area is secure following an incident in Menominee.

The Sherrif’s office issued a warning just before 9:30 a.m. Central on Thursday, asking people to avoid an area where law enforcement from Marinette and Menominee are dealing with an incident.

According to the Menominee County Sheriff’s Office, multiple law enforcement agencies were at the incident. Part of 18th Avenue is closed from 25th Street to West Drive was closed.

Authorities shared just after 1:00 p.m. Central that a man was in custody.
