A woman has been hospitalized after she was thrown from a tipping four-wheeler on Memorial Day.

The Gladstone Public Safety Department is reporting that 45-year-old Escanaba resident Justine Shervin was riding as a passenger on a four-wheel being driven by 45-year-old Gladstone resident Brian Deiter near the Gladstone water tower.

While they were riding down a hill a tire got stuck in a rut, which caused the machine to tip of for Shervin to be thrown from the vehicle. The four-wheeler then rolled over onto Deiter.

Shervin had to be airlifted to Marquette General
