A former Michigan resident is in jail in Kentucky in connection with the October 14, 2014 disappearance of Christopher Karl Regan. Since Regan went missing, several searches and interviews have been conducted – but this is the only incident in which a person of interest has been taken into custody.
The following is a media press release Iron River Police Chief Laura Frizzo:
Over recent weeks, Iron River Police Department has been working closely with Detectives from the Hobart, Indiana Police Department, where a suspect in Christopher Regan’s disappearance has been residing since March of 2015.
On Thursday, April 28, 2016, IRPD was alerted by Detectives from Hobart PD that the suspect had fled Indiana. Law Enforcement was able to locate the suspect in Wingo, Kentucky. The US Marshals were alerted and responded promptly. With the assistance of the Kentucky State Police, they were able to take the suspect into custody this same day without incident. She is currently lodged in the Graves County Jail in Kentucky awaiting extradition on charges issued by Iron County Prosecuting Attorney Melissa Powell.
This multi-agency effort which took place over the past 18 months led investigators to a 33 year-old female suspect who left Michigan immediately following a search of her residence in March of 2015.
