Caro Els Ties for 36th at NCAA Championships

PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL- Junior Caro Els (Swakopmund, Namibia) became the first player in Northern Michigan University Women’s Golf history to compete at the NCAA Division II Women’s Golf National Championships and finished stroke play tied for 36th out of a field of 95 individuals.

The junior started the championships by posting birdies on five holes and finished two over, shooting a round of 75.

On the second day, Els notched a round of 85 and followed it with a round three score of 83 to finish stroke play with a total score of 239.

Els finished the National Championships second among all Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletics Conference participants.
