NMU Football Signing Day

National Signing Day, a day where dreams come true for high school athletes across the country. It’s also a day of optimism for the schools that sign them. Northern Michigan football coach Chris Ostrowksy reeled in six top recruits from elite U.P. programs and could not be more excited.

“We were able to really hit some unbelievable landmarks. we wanted to sign 35 football players and we committed 38. We were able to attract six phenomenal, local, Upper Peninsula guys that we’re excited to welcome to our Wildcat football family. If you can recruit a great player that comes from a winner that’s a home run because they understand what the commitment is,” said Ostrowsky.

The Wildcats picked up two players from Munising in running back Garrett Blank and wide receiver Andy Cooper.

Menominee running back Justin Brilinski and wide receiver Aeron Forsberg made it official with NMU today while Marquette quarterback Brett Place and offensive lineman Holt Richards also signed with the Wildcats.
